Specialist Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to work in a specialist school environment catering to pupils with complex needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and possess excellent communication skills.
">- Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with PMLD and associated physical or medical needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Utilise specialist equipment and communication aids as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to implement individual care plans.
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all learners.
- Experience supporting children or young people with PMLD or complex SEN.
- Manual handling and personal care skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to inclusive education.
- Comfortable using alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS).
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
- Up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps within the last 10 years.
