About the Role
  • Perform animal care tasks such as cleaning enclosures, administering medication, feeding, exercising, and assessing animal welfare.
  • Provide basic first aid to animals when needed.
  • Maintain open communication with managers and colleagues to ensure all relevant information is shared effectively.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to stakeholders, including members of the public.

About You:

  • A Certificate II in Animal Care or equivalent experience is essential.
  • You should have prior experience handling animals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • You must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • You will be working with people to improve animal welfare outcomes.
  • Initiative and ability to prioritize tasks are necessary.
  • Good organizational skills are required.
  • You should be a team player.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • You will be conducting manual handling tasks.
  • Resilience to occasional setbacks is required.
