Are you an experiencedAnimal Attendantand want to join an organisation where their mission is to prevent animal cruelty and neglect? If this sounds like you,RSPCA NSWwant youto join the teamasAnimal Attendants,on a casual basis. You will be motivated, energetic, reliable and willing to undertake a range of Animal Attendant responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of animal care is maintained.
We are on the lookout forcasual candidates,and the successful candidate will be required to work some weekends.

About the Role
As an Animal Attendant Superstar, you will:

  • Perform animal care tasks such as cleaning cages/enclosures, medicating, feeding, exercising, and assessing animals.
  • Provide basic first aid to animals where required.
  • Ensure high-level communication with managers and colleagues to ensure all information is provided to the required parties.
  • Provide high-level customer service to all stakeholders, including members of the public.
About You

You will have the confidence to interact with customers from all walks of life and possess the following:

  • Certificate II Animal Care or equivalent experience is essential
  • Previous animal handling skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays.
  • The desire to work with people to improve animal welfare outcomes.
  • Initiative and ability to prioritise
  • Good organisational skills
  • Team player
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct manual handling tasks
  • Resilience - the ability to bounce back from occasional setbacks
