Key leadership position for a Training Manager to oversee two underground mining operations. This is an attractive opportunity with a competitive remuneration package and prospects for advancement.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and implementing the organisational training strategy, managing training resources, and advising internal leaders on quality standards in relation to training activities.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need 5 years of mining experience in training and development, demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland Coal Mining Legislative framework, and a degree qualification in a training/education discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the training plan for the business
  • Manage training expenditures
  • Advise and coach internal leaders and training team to set the standard of quality in relation to training activities to ensure compliance
  • Provide training expertise, and operational advice in line with experience/knowledge gained from participation in industry
  • Create training and governance processes to achieve legislative and site-specific requirements
