We are seeking a highly skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide comprehensive services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' orientation and mobility needs, communicating results with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement personalized orientation and mobility programs tailored to individual client requirements.
- Train clients in various environments using evidence-based techniques to enhance their independence and safety.
- Regularly evaluate and monitor clients' progress to ensure they achieve their desired outcomes.
- Support clients in overcoming challenges across different travel situations through expert guidance and resources.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Orientation and Mobility and current completion of COMS are essential.
- The ability to frequently travel by car and domestic flight for overnight stays is required.
- Outstanding communication, time management, and organizational skills are necessary for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team is essential.
- Attention to detail, analysis, planning, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this position.
- A valid unrestricted driver's license and good driving record are also required.
