Strategic Planning Professional

  • The position of Strategic Planning Professional involves supporting the delivery of strategic planning projects, including research and analysis, key stakeholder engagement, and preparing reports and documents.
  • The successful candidate will provide technical input into the development and implementation of key policy relating to the planning scheme, infrastructure planning, significant major projects, and key placemaking activities.
  • This role will suit motivated planners with a range of experience looking for a rewarding career opportunity. The successful candidate will have good time management skills that support operating in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of strategic planning projects, involving research and analysis, key stakeholder engagement, and preparing reports and documents.
  • Provide technical input into the development and implementation of key policy relating to the planning scheme, infrastructure planning, significant major projects, and key placemaking activities.
  • Assist with the review and updating of key policy relating to the planning scheme, including assisting with the plan making process and associated community consultation activities.
  • Provide routine technical advice relating to strategic land use planning matters in accordance with legislative, policy, and business requirements.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning and urban design processes, relevant state and local government legislation, and statutory plans.
  • Well-developed research and analytical skills and the ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.
