Land Use Planning and Policy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Use Planning and Policy Specialist to lead our team in delivering high-impact projects. As a key member of our planning department, you will contribute to the development of innovative land use planning strategies and policies.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Provide advanced statutory and strategic urban planning principles and methods.
  • Project Leadership: Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic land use planning projects.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical and management support to the Planning team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communication: Prepare and review reports, presentations, and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proposal Development: Support the preparation of proposals and tender submissions.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 8 years' experience within an Urban Planning firm-based environment.
  • Expert Knowledge: Strong knowledge of strategic planning, and related legislation.
  • Statutory Planning Frameworks: Proficient appreciation and understanding of statutory planning frameworks, controls, and processes.
  • Strategic Policies: Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes, and influences.
