We are seeking an accomplished Emergency Response Specialist to contribute to our team.

About the Role:
  • Maintaining site safety is paramount in this critical position.
  • Responding to emergencies and supporting security operations are key responsibilities.

The Gruyere Gold Mine, a premier gold mining operation in Western Australia, is committed to innovation and long-term success. As an Emergency Response Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that prioritizes safety, effectiveness, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine emergency response maintenance checks and ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Perform onsite drug and alcohol screenings according to site policies.
  • Participate in emergency training exercises and respond to real-life incidents effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain emergency communication systems to guarantee seamless communication.
  • Assess risks and develop effective emergency response measures to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Establish relationships with external entities for mutual aid in emergency situations.
  • Support security operations and site safety initiatives to foster a secure environment.
  • Provide first aid and pre-hospital care while collaborating with Injury Management.
  • Contribute to the development and training of the Emergency Response Team.

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a 6% site allowance, private health insurance, and salary continuance. A quarterly bonus scheme and opportunities for career growth are also available.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue (or equivalent)
  • Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
  • Diploma of Emergency Health Care (or equivalent) - Desirable
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification - Desirable
  • Valid Heavy Rigid (HR-B) Driver's Licence - Required
