Our company is a leading high-voltage infrastructure provider, connecting renewable energy projects to Australia's electricity grid.

As a senior design drafter, you will be part of our team specialising in the design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, wind farms, and battery storage systems.

  • Provide structural design support across the full project lifecycle for utility or renewable energy projects to ensure high-quality, compliant, and timely outcomes.
  • Interpret and implement design information provided by primary, civil and structural design engineers and the design manager.
  • Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to ensure designs are practical and constructible and refined through real-world feedback.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of projects shaping Australia's renewable energy future, including HV substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in structural design/drafting in the utility or renewable energy industry.
  • Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Ability to interpret and implement design information from engineers and design managers.
  • Tertiary studies are favourable but not essential.
