Truck Bay Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Bay Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our truck bay.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing diagnostic and repair processes, maintaining productive customer relationships, and providing technical guidance to team members.

This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and shift allowance. The successful candidate will be required to work a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with overtime penalties for work above standard hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics and Repair Management: Oversee the diagnosis and repair of complex issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring prompt attention to their needs and minimizing product downtime.
  • Team Guidance: Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members, including apprentices and experienced technicians.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete required documentation, including service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent
  • Advanced level of workshop or field service experience
  • Advanced level knowledge of and experience with engine products
  • HR License (preferred)
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
