**Quality Assurance and Test Automation Leadership Opportunity at Suncorp Group

Suncorp Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the highest quality in testing across the end-to-end project cycle.

Role Overview
  • This Senior Quality Assurance Manager will provide expert technical advice, handle complex issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes for customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, ability to mentor junior resources, and ensure testing processes contribute to broader software engineering operations and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute testing strategies, process improvements, and standards for deliverables.
  • Provide thought leadership in QA practices and continuously drive improvements in the QA domain.
  • Ensure relevant types and levels of testing (functional, system, integration, regression, performance, etc.) are executed and planned into the delivery lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, and implement frameworks that build quality, automation, and security into Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration pipelines.
  • Work with the team to deliver both automated and manual tests to meet delivery milestones.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in a Principal/Lead Test Engineer role.
  • Experience in API automation.
  • Bring industry best practices to the Test chapter and help uplift junior resources.
  • Must have experience in programming/scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Python, etc.).
  • Experience in either Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Aplitool.
  • Good knowledge in adopting or implementing test automation frameworks.
  • Proven experience in leading, advising, and mentoring junior Software Test Engineers.
