Our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable members of our community.
We are currently seeking an experienced support worker to join our team and provide care and support to clients in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients to live a comfortable life and achieve their goals, focusing on their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
- Perform healthcare tasks to support the health, hygiene, and general wellbeing of clients.
- Take clients to appointments and deliver programs designed to help them achieve their goals, promoting independence and confidence.
- Perform a range of household tasks with clients, including cleaning and washing, to ensure their living environment is safe and comfortable.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the highest level of care and support is provided, prioritizing client needs and preferences.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in disability or community services, with a strong focus on delivering person-centered care.
- Experience working with mental health and challenging behaviors, utilizing de-escalation techniques and strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
- A strong desire to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities, demonstrating empathy, resilience, and self-confidence.
- Current First Aid certification, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with own transport, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of care services.
- Police check and NDIS worker orientation, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working with Children Check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for clients.
- First Aid Certification, promoting a culture of safety and prevention.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
- National Police Certificate, verifying a clear police history.
- Driver Licence, enabling efficient travel and transportation services.
