Disability Support Worker Role Overview

This role involves delivering quality support to clients with Intellectual Disabilities, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, ASD, & OCD in their own homes. The ideal candidate will provide responsive, resilient and respectful support to our clients and their families.

The successful applicant will be required to assist with a wide range of personal daily activities such as general housekeeping, domestic assistance, sleepover shifts, community access and participation, and able to use apps for time sheet reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emotional Support and Stability: Providing emotional support and stability to clients.
  • Daily Living Tasks: Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
  • Community Participation: Supporting clients to participate in community activities.
  • Technology Use: Using technology to report client data and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A current unrestricted driver's license is essential.
  • You must be emotionally aware, resilient and responsive to the changing needs of the client.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
  • First aid and CPR certification is necessary.
