The Role:

Amma's Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Disability Support Worker with availability across morning, afternoon, evening, and sleepover shifts (Monday - Sunday).

Our team is committed to creating a supportive and respectful environment where participants can achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist participants with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

  • Medication Assistance: Administer or supervise medication as per the participant's care plan and according to regulations.

  • Community Access and Social Participation: Support participants in accessing social, recreational, and employment opportunities.

  • Meal Preparation: Assist with meal planning, shopping, and preparation based on dietary needs.

  • Domestic Assistance: Help with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.

  • Transport Assistance: Provide transportation to appointments, social activities, and community events.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of participant progress, incidents, and daily activities, ensuring compliance with NDIS requirements and Amma's Care Services policies.

  • Communication: Collaborate with participants, their families, and other team members to ensure care is coordinated and meets the participant's goals.

  • Incident Reporting: Report any incidents or concerns to the Care Coordinator and follow up as necessary

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience in disability support or a similar role is highly desirable.

  • First Aid and CPR Certification: Current certification or willingness to obtain.

  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check: Must have or be able to obtain this clearance.
