About the Role
  • We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our kitchen brigade on a full-time basis.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting menu items that showcase variety and flair, while adhering to cost margins specified by the hotel.
  • You will ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, implementing and maintaining stock control procedures.
  • You will also be responsible for preparing mise en place as required and checking that all cooked and pre-cooked foods are properly stored.
  • Liaise with the restaurant team regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu, and any relevant changes.
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy, ensuring all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
  • E nsure Work, Health, and Safety procedures are observed to guarantee the safety of your team and guests.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for cuisine and cooking with a creative flair.
  • Previous experience in similar roles within an a la carte environment.
  • An interest in learning and developing your career with industry professionals.
  • Trade qualifications with previous experience an advantage.
  • Working understanding of food safety standards and HACCP.
  • A high standard of hygiene, grooming, and presentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Flexibility regarding your work availability is essential, as we operate 7 days a week, including public holidays.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
