Electrical Engineering Specialist

As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will play a critical role in overseeing the development and implementation of electrical systems at our mines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations across various sites, including Mt Pleasant and Mt Arthur South.
About The Role- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, supervise, monitor, and review standards and procedures for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations.
- Develop and maintain electrical Blue Books, Registers, and Certificates of Compliance for NSW Thiess mining operations.
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electrical plant and installations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review electrical designs being completed for new and modified installations, ensuring site standards are maintained.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to designers via clients.
- Scope and provide guidance on the selection and installation of electrical components and systems.
- Assist with project justifications in areas of technology and electrical modifications.
- Have direct involvement in the delivery of projects as required by Operations Managers across the Hunter Valley Operations.
- Identify deficiencies in electrical installations and recommend improvements to clients.
