We are seeking a skilled database professional to administer our business-critical database servers. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting AWS Aurora/RDS instances running PostgreSQL and other database engines.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and optimising the performance of database instances, resolving database incidents and requests, creating and maintaining documentation, recommending best practices and approaches for administration of AWS RDS/Aurora, and providing project assistance for upgrades and new deployments.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong technical skills and experience supporting PostgreSQL in AWS Aurora/RDS. Practical experience of migration from on-premises databases to AWS Aurora/RDS is also highly desirable, as well as experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

AWS certifications, such as Amazon Certified Database - Specialty, are highly valued but not required. We are open to considering candidates with relevant industry experience and certifications.
