Job Title: House Manager Residential Services

Job Description:
The House Manager, Residential Services will oversee the day-to-day operations of residential care placements based in Melbourne's Southern area. The role requires a nurturing and positive relationship with children and young people to promote healing, emotional growth, and development of positive attitudes and life skills.

This position involves engaging with children to develop strategies to deal with trauma-based responses to life. It also requires an understanding of Aboriginal societies and cultures, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with child protection workers, schools, police, and other organizations.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications or be willing to undertake relevant study. They should have demonstrated experience in the child and family sector and be able to contribute to Aboriginal children's emotional, physical, psychological, and cultural development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to support children's healing and emotional growth
- Foster a nurturing and positive relationship with children and young people
- Collaborate with child protection workers, schools, police, and other organizations to achieve common goals

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in line with Residential Care minimum standards (or willingness to undertake relevant study)
- Demonstrated experience in child and family sector
- Ability to contribute to Aboriginal children's emotional, physical, psychological, and cultural development
- Appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, commitment to continually build knowledge of such, and awareness of key issues impacting upon Aboriginal communities
