About this role:

As a senior logistics professional, you will lead and coordinate despatch operations at the Geelong Wire Mill, ensuring timely delivery and continuous process improvement. Key responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve despatch goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships through effective communication
  • Conduct regular audits and training sessions to ensure adherence to warehouse procedures
  • Coordinate crew activities to meet despatch schedules
  • Involved in developing supply agreements, personnel training, and reviewing warehouse layouts

Key Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in transport, distribution, or logistics
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, schedule adherence, and DIFOT management
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
  • High focus on team development, engagement, and involvement
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility, load restraint, mass, and fatigue management
