Job Title: Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Position Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned health and safety professional to join our organization as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health and safety operations, ensuring compliance with site and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide expert advice to internal teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to establish best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Visit construction sites and liaise with Site Managers and project teams to ensure effective health and safety protocols are in place.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to evaluate HSE performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage work-related injuries through the WorkCover process and develop return-to-work plans.
  • Liaise with external parties, including unions and regulatory bodies, as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of training and certifications.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a management capacity.
  • Holding a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) or equivalent qualification.
  • A Diploma of Work Health and Safety is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Strong attention to detail for investigations and root cause analysis.
