Job Description
As the Health & Safety Adviser, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing workplace health and safety systems, aligned with ISO 45001 standards. Key tasks include:
- Developing and enforcing WHS policies and procedures.
- Leading annual training programs and conducting audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Providing strategic guidance to senior leadership on risk management and compliance.
- Managing incident investigations, reporting, and preventative strategies to mitigate risks.
- Maintaining accurate records and systems to support accreditation and legislative requirements.
This role offers a unique blend of strategic influence and hands-on administration, ideal for someone who thrives in both planning and execution.
The Ideal Candidate
A successful Health and Safety Advisor should possess:
- A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Experience in implementing and managing workplace health and safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with staff at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and develop practical solutions.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- A passion for fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
