About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled plumber to join our team as a Meter Exchange and Installation Expert. As a key member of our Metering department, you will be responsible for installing and exchanging water meters across the Hunter Water network, including Newcastle and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and exchange water meters in a variety of locations, including residential and commercial properties.
  • Perform repairs and quotes for works related to metering, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to approved work practices and standards.
  • Assist in the training and ongoing development of meter exchangers, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Represent Service Stream in relation to customer complaints, ensuring excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OH & S policies and procedures, as well as relevant state legislation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience.
  • Current plumbing license.
  • Relevant industry training.
  • Current driver's license.
  • OHS Construction Industry white card.

  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize critical issues.
  • Relevant knowledge of the Hunter Water network and work practices required to install and exchange water meters.
