Microscopist Role

The CryoTEM Microscopist position involves the management, training, and operation of a ThermoFisher Glacios CryoTEM within a centre. This role oversees the daily operation, maintenance, and development of protocols related to sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Key responsibilities include expertise in operating CryoTEM, applying it to solve research problems in biological and biomedical sciences, and providing advice to researchers and postgraduate students. The successful candidate will need strong communication skills, experience with tools such as cryoSPARC and Relion, and knowledge of TEM sample preparation techniques.

The centre provides advanced microscopy and microanalysis services to the research community. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to world-class research.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in CryoTEM Operation
  • Experience with single particle analysis (SPA) workflow, including sample preparation and data collection
