Job Overview

The Technical Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of events and performances at Wyndham City Council's venues. This position is responsible for providing expert technical support to hirers, producers, and performers.

Your key tasks will include delivering technical support during events and rehearsals, conducting regular maintenance and safety checks, maintaining backstage areas, and supporting hybrid online meetings.

What You'll Do
  1. Operate venue systems, including lighting, audio, and stage systems
  2. Assist with bump-ins and bump-outs, and maintain backstage areas
  3. Ensure technical equipment is up-to-standard through regular maintenance and safety checks
  4. Support hybrid online meetings by managing live streaming systems
Requirements
  • Technical theatre qualifications equivalent to a trades certificate or Certificate III
  • Experience working in backstage technical operations in the theatre or entertainment industry
  • Elevated Working Platform (EWP), Dogging/Rigging License, and First Aid qualifications desirable
