About the Role

The Monash Alfred Psychiatry research centre (MAPrc) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join their TMS Clinical Research Unit. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating participants for current interventional clinical trials investigating TMS treatment in depression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and assessment of suitable participants for inclusion in the trial
  • Conduct of clinical measures, data collection, data entry/curation, and minor data analysis
  • Liaising with other research staff and entering and analyzing data
  • Providing training to enable the successful candidate to become familiar with the provision of TMS therapy

Requirements

  • A doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline or a closely related field OR substantial relevant skills and work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in subject recruitment with proven ability to establish rapport with patients
  • High-level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently in a research environment and as part of an inter-disciplinary research team
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and proficiency in the production of high-level work using software such as Microsoft Office applications and statistical programs
