Business Analyst Job Summary

This Business Analyst position involves working across functional areas, demonstrating expertise in clinical electronic information systems for data extraction and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting business data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports.
  • Collaborating with the Clinical Intelligence and IT teams, as well as subject matter experts, to define reporting solutions.
  • Facilitating project groups in developing survey tools, metrics, dashboards, reports, and oncology monitoring plans with an analytical and statistical focus.
  • Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, including Epic EHR.
  • Presenting business analyses to non-analytical audiences, such as administrators and clinicians.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare domain.
  • Strong knowledge of EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, NextGen, etc.).
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CDA, X12, etc.).
  • Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, CMS, and other healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, workflow diagrams, and system analysis.
