
Warehousing HSE Specialist

Job Opportunity:
A dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) professional is required to join our team in the Goulburn region of New South Wales.
This crucial role will support site operations, focusing on warehouse and logistics activities, as well as the safe operation of plant and equipment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
HSE Guidance and Support: Providing expert advice and support specifically for warehouse operations, material handling, and logistical activities.
HSE Planning and Monitoring: Developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE plans, procedures, and systems relevant to warehousing, logistics, and plant and equipment.
Risk Assessments and Inspections: Conducting targeted risk assessments and inspections of warehouse areas, loading/unloading zones, and plant and equipment.
Plant and Equipment Management: Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of all plant and equipment, including adherence to pre-start checks, maintenance schedules, and operator competencies.
Incident Investigations: Investigating incidents and near misses related to warehousing, logistics, and plant/equipment, and developing effective preventative actions.
HSE Training and Inductions: Delivering specialized HSE training and inductions related to warehouse safety, manual handling, forklift operation, and the safe use of various plant and equipment.
HSE Record Keeping:
Collaboration with Management Teams: Collaborating with management teams to integrate HSE considerations into all aspects of warehouse management, transportation, and equipment utilization.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and regulations, as well as the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements.
Contractor Management: Supporting the wider organisation on contractor and sub-contractor pre-qualification and management.
