About the Role

HiTech Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior C# .NET Developer to join our team in developing and enhancing complex systems for a Federal Agency.

This role focuses on transforming legacy systems into integrated, modern, and efficient cloud-based solutions. As a successful candidate, you will be offered a competitive remuneration package, tailored to your qualifications, skills, and experience, with options for non-ongoing or ongoing arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions using C# .NET Core and related technologies, adhering to best practices for code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate within agile teams to analyse legacy systems and design, develop, and integrate modern solutions, ensuring alignment with requirements and coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct analysis of upgrade paths, enhancements, and effort estimates; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth functionality and system reliability.
  • Adhere to change management, security, release, and maintenance policies, including ITIL framework; participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience as a senior C# .NET Core developer, including web application development, API creation, cloud integration (Azure/AWS), and applying software design patterns.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, containerization, cloud platforms, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong ability to understand complex technical environments, design robust solutions, and solve problems effectively.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices, with experience collaborating in geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills demonstrated through achieving business and technical objectives.
About the Package

The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration commensurate with experience, estimated at AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, plus benefits.
