Job Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join our team in delivering GP services to individuals in immigration detention. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat clients with drug and/or alcohol dependency.
  • Prescribe medications as necessary and provide ongoing evaluation of these clients.

Requirements:

  • Fully registered AHPRA registration.
  • Primary care experience, preferably in rural or remote settings.
  • Fellowship of the RACGP or recognition as a General Practitioner.
  • Experience with computerised medical records and practice systems.
  • Effective mental health management skills at a General Practitioner level.
  • Ability to live and work in Australia with the right to do so.
  • Evidence of training in prescribing for opioid dependence or willingness to obtain this qualification.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate.
