Cloud Engineer Job Description

As a cloud engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of cloud services. This involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to maintain high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.

  • Manage, monitor, and optimize multi-cloud environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Cloud.
  • Provide ongoing proactive support to clients, identifying and resolving cloud-related issues before they impact services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, security, and networking.
  • Ensure cloud environments are secure, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant certification in or extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Cloud.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering cloud services within a Managed Services framework.
  • Deep understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, firewalls, and security best practices for multi-cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in automation, IAC tools, and scripting languages such as Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Python.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools and techniques to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, VPNs, hybrid cloud architectures, and inter-cloud connectivity.
