Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Leader

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of passionate infrastructure and network professionals with the goal of delivering cloud services to businesses, enabling continuous operations with maximum availability.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule the team's day-to-day activities and job priorities;
  • Contribute to project planning, delivery, and completion;
  • Ensure maximum system availability and performance to meet business needs;
  • Work to provide a highly available environment and collaborate with infrastructure specialists and architects;
  • Maintenance, capacity planning, and implementation of server, storage, and network environments;
  • Management of network infrastructure across layer 2/3 environments, WiFi, and firewalls;
  • Continuous improvement of ITIL processes to support incident, problem, and change management;
  • Ensure fault tickets are logged in Service Now, correctly classified, and updated daily;
  • Create and maintain system documentation for all changes;
  • Engage key vendors and partners;
  • Oversee and participate in related change management;
  • Provide reports as required, such as performance, capacity, design specifications, and alarming specifications;
  • Support technical activities of other team members, providing guidance on technical activities within their domain;
  • Assess and estimate compute and storage-related project activities;
  • Perform budget estimates as needed;
  • Create short-form business cases as needed;

Requirements:

  • Significant previous experience as a senior infrastructure engineer in a similar commercial environment;
  • Previous experience leading a highly technical team across cloud, systems, and networks;
  • Experience working on projects to deliver technologically innovative solutions;
  • Superior skills and experience in SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, cloud management (Azure & AWS), Office 365, proficient in backup solutions - Veeam, platform virtualization technology experience (MS HyperV & VMware), storage solution experience, with Nimble & IBM preferred;
  • Ability to write technical reports, processes, and service documentation;
  • Highly self-motivated with a desire to drive personal growth and a commitment to a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Ability to lead, contribute, and absorb new ideas and concepts;
  • Strong, independent problem-solving methodology, demonstrating a commitment to a service delivery framework;
  • Well-organized and self-managed with attention to detail;
  • Proactive cloud/server performance reporting;
  • Capacity management within an elastic environment;
