Manufacturing Specialist

The Manufacturing Specialist reports directly to the Production Manager and is responsible for identifying and resolving glass forming problems through thorough examinations of faults and data trends. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to drive improvements in quality, safety, productivity, and workforce outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining compliance with statutory and company safety and quality standards
  • Staying up-to-date with employment and legislative responsibilities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
  • Investigating glass forming issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Conducting production inspections and optimizing machine operations to enhance product quality

Requirements:

  • Over 7 years of experience in Glass container manufacturing, specifically in glass conditioning, furnace, forehearth, and / or forming operations
  • Thorough understanding of the glass melting and conditioning process
  • Significant experience with Glass furnace colour changes in a forming or forehearth specialist capacity
  • High school graduation or equivalent
