Work Health Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Work Health & Safety professional to support our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment based in Perth.

Your New Role

As a WHS Officer, you will be responsible for managing non-complex Workers' Compensation claims and Return to Work Programs, supporting the HR team in the management of Fitness for Work cases, conducting simple hazard and incident investigations, coordinating the workstation assessment process, recruiting WHS volunteer roles, promoting wellbeing activities across the department, and providing general administration support to the WHS committee.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in managing worker's compensation claims and Fitness for Work cases
  • Practical understanding and knowledge of OSH and Workers Compensation and Injury Management legislation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines

This is a full-time position with flexible working arrangements available. The initial contract is temporary, but there may be opportunities for extension depending on performance.
