We have a vacancy for a risk, compliance and quality assurance leader due to a paternity leave in our team.

This role involves providing oversight, challenge, independent monitoring, and advice on risk management and compliance with obligations across aged care and clinical health, including quality standards. A key focus is to drive the development of a mature and integrated risk, compliance, and quality culture.

The successful candidate will lead, coach and mentor the Home Health and Residential Aged Care Risk & Compliance and Quality Assurance teams, providing clear direction and oversight to ensure the enterprise risk management framework and quality assurance programs are applied effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and provision of insightful reporting on risk, compliance, and quality assurance trends to inform strategic decisions at board, executive and senior leadership levels.
  • Reviewing and enhancing the quality of reports, presentations, and communications to ensure alignment with executive and board expectations.
  • Overseeing and managing the planning, setting, and monitoring of an annual governance and review calendar.
  • Reviewing and enhancing the quality and impact of monitoring programs, ensuring controls are robust, pragmatic, and effective.
  • Leveraging assurance activity outcomes to provide the business with actionable insights for treatment plans and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitating the investigation and responses to escalated serious incidents, complaints and coronial instigations.
  • Building relationships with Executive GMs, GMs, and other senior leaders, providing expert advice on risk, compliance, and quality.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications, preferably with at least 10-15 years' experience in legal, risk, compliance or audit related discipline.
  • Industry experience relevant to our business portfolios or a strong working knowledge of Aged Care or health services legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and motivating a team, with experience of leading and influencing through change and working agilely in complex environments.
  • Extensive experience working in the health industry with the ability to build relationships to drive scale and growth.
  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Standards, community aged care and/or community health care accreditation frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills operational leadership.
