Payroll Professional Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Professional to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, managing the payroll system and uploading timesheets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of Payroll: Timely and accurate processing of payroll on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Payroll System Management: Manage and update the everyday running of the payroll system.
  • Timesheet Uploading: Entering and uploading timesheets.
  • Journals and Lodgments: Uploading and entering Weekly and Monthly payroll journals into accounting packages across the business.
  • Superannuation and Redundancy: Processing and lodging of Monthly Superannuation, redundancy, income protection etc.
  • Legislative Compliance: Staying up to date with EBA and new legislation.
  • Query Resolution: Review and respond to payroll queries.
  • Reporting: Assisting with monthly employee reporting.
  • Team Support: Supporting the Payroll Manager as required.

Requirements:

  • End-to-End Payroll Experience: Proven experience in an end-to-end payroll function; 2-5 years experience.
  • High Volume Environment: Prior work in a high volume fast-paced environment would be beneficial i.e employees.
  • Australian Legislation: Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance alongside award interpretation.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate excel skills are preferred.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in Micropay or ELMO is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Independence and Teamwork: Able to work independently and in a team environment.

About This Opportunity:

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has great exposure across end-to-end payroll functions where they have worked in a high volume environment and able to interpret a range of awards and Micropay and ELMO system experience is highly desirable but not mandatory - as long as you have experience in tier 1 payroll systems is acceptable. There are 450 employees on a weekly and monthly basis.
