Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Planning Officer to contribute to the development of road and utilities for Australia's most ambitious greenfield project, the Aerotropolis. This role will involve providing expert advice on planning reforms, working with government and private sector stakeholders to deliver multi-utility corridors and precincts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead research and analysis in support of planning reforms and develop strategies and plans in the transport, planning and/or infrastructure sectors.
  • To work collaboratively with people and resources across organisational business areas and with stakeholder resources to develop high-profile projects and programs.
  • To apply strategic and lateral thinking, agile problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Law, Public Policy, Environment, Engineering, Finance, or Commerce, or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading research and analysis in support of planning reforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with people and resources across organisational business areas.
  • Demonstrated strategic and lateral thinking, agile problem-solving skills, and a strong interest in reform.
