Job Title: Aboriginal Family Practitioner

This is a challenging and rewarding role working with Indigenous families in a supportive environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced practitioner to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Specialist Family Practitioner, you will work with Aboriginal young people (aged 10-14 years) and their families, providing intensive case management and therapeutic support.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outreach support in homes, community and over the phone.
  • Collaborate closely with families and other services, respecting kinship structures.
  • Provide group diversion activities, culture-based programs, education workshops, and family support to address challenges before escalation.

About You:

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to self-determination, dignity and cultural respect. You will have:

  • Diploma or degree in Community Services, Social Work or Psychology.
  • 3-5 years of case management experience in child welfare.
  • Understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal cultures and communities.
