About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to provide community access, domestic assistance and social support to our client in Rothwell, Northern Brisbane.

This is an afternoon support role, with shifts available Monday to Friday 15:00 to 18:00. There may also be opportunities for morning shifts in the future.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be collecting the client's children from school and assisting with domestic cleaning and meal preparation. You may also be required to take the client and her family to community outings, such as shopping and medical appointments, using your own vehicle.

Please note that the client has a strong preference for female care staff due to the personal nature of the tasks involved.

Key Requirements:

  • Australian driver's licence and a reliable vehicle for community transport
  • Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in Australia or a reciprocal country
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening
  • Working with Children's Check (Blue Card) for client's children
