Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Project Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project coordinator to join our team as a senior infrastructure project coordinator.

You will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and delivering high-quality results. Your expertise in construction methodologies, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses will be invaluable assets to our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage construction teams to effectively participate in document management systems
  • Review and provide input to design for constructability
  • Produce detailed construction works plans to optimise resources and time on station
  • Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers within a contractual framework
  • Responsible for the development of detailed cost plans for the delivery, construction, installation and commissioning of new and significant upgrades to Antarctic infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Recent site and project management experience relating to construction activities in the building or general construction industry overseeing the workload of a multi-disciplined trade group
  • Knowledge of the NCC, building construction, off site manufacturing and construction methodologies, ideally within cold climate environments
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services including electrical and water distribution, water treatment, heating, sewer and fire systems
  • Experience maintaining appropriate work site safety procedures, including sound knowledge of work health and safety standards
  • Current or very recent proficiency in risk assessments and job hazard analyses relating to building and construction works or maintenance
  • Sound experience with identification and purchase of materials associated with the building maintenance programs and construction of new works
