Evaluation and Assurance Consultant

Are you a detail-oriented individual looking to further your skills in evaluation, assurance, and review? Our consulting team is seeking an expert consultant to join our team.

We collaborate with government clients to evaluate and provide recommendations on complex programs across various portfolios. Our team leverages deep expertise and qualifications in evaluation and assurance, along with proven methodologies and tools, to evaluate, review, and report on program outcomes and performance.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about building their current evaluation, assurance, and review skills, as well as furthering their knowledge of government program evaluation, internal reviews of boards or governance committees, or assurance checks over projects or programs.

In this role, we value your ability to analyze complex information, interpret data, and use your understanding of government processes to translate findings effectively.

  • Data analysis and synthesizing findings
  • Engaging with government and community stakeholders
  • Coordinating meetings and discussions
  • Providing project support: coordinating meeting actions, tracking progress/issues, and preparing status reports
  • Writing client documents including draft reports, briefings, policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with government policies, guidelines, legislation, and regulatory frameworks

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years' experience, preferably within a government environment or in a consulting capacity
  • Demonstrated experience or understanding of evaluation, assurance, and review frameworks in the government context
  • An understanding of the application of government policies, guidelines, legislation, and regulatory frameworks
  • High-level analysis skills
  • Stakeholder engagement experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
  • A desire to work closely with clients, being adaptable and responsive
  • Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
