Risk Compliance Manager Job Description

This role is critical in embedding and enhancing regulatory compliance capability across the business. As a seasoned compliance professional, you will play a key part in supporting the implementation of our Compliance Strategy and standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and fostering a proactive risk culture.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide pragmatic compliance advice, design and implement effective controls, and monitor adherence to internal and external compliance requirements. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance is owned and managed at the source, strengthening the control environment, and driving continuous improvement in compliance practices.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, ideally within financial services. You will bring a strong understanding of APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies, and have a proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail enable you to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions.

You will contribute to risk-in-change assessments, support governance and training initiatives, and lead the implementation of remedial actions to uplift compliance maturity across the organisation. This is a leadership opportunity to mentor junior compliance professionals and collaborate across departments to deliver best-practice compliance outcomes.
