As a seasoned leader in regulatory affairs, you have the unique opportunity to spearhead a team of licensing experts within the Queensland Early Childhood Regulatory Authority. Your role as the Manager will be pivotal in ensuring high-quality early childhood education and care services are accessible to children across the state.

About The Role

In this position, you will oversee the implementation of consistent, transparent, and robust regulatory practices. You will make complex decisions and provide expert advice to senior management on regulatory matters while considering the legal and policy implications. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and direction to the Licensing team's regulatory officers;
  • Supporting regional office regulatory officers with licensing decisions relevant to early childhood education and care services;
  • Overseeing recommendations and decisions, providing high-quality guidance and training to the team to ensure quality, defensibility, and consistency;

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate risk, respond to issues and trends through data analysis, and develop innovative solutions. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong time management abilities, and the capacity to identify risk and emerging issues.
