Job Opportunity

A motivated and experienced professional is sought to deliver risk-based regulatory activities and administrative decision making in a regulatory environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the regulatory functions and services supporting the regulation of accreditation and eligibility for government funding of non-state schools in Queensland.

This role requires strong regulatory skills and/or legal experience rather than an education background.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Undertake regulatory activities and make recommendations in accordance with legislation and good administrative decision making principles.
  • Provide informed recommendations and communicate with stakeholders on decisions and outcomes.
  • Identify and respond to risk through application of risk-based decision making, exercising powers and escalating matters accordingly.
  • Contribute to effective record keeping practices, data quality assurance and modelling appropriate use of regulatory systems.
  • Implement operational policy initiatives drawing on feedback, evaluation and data analysis to improve regulatory process and practice.
  • Provide quality advice and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate communication on range of regulatory matters including correspondence, reports and briefs.

About You

You will be highly organised, able to navigate complex issues and possess developed conceptual, analytical and communication skills.

Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy in a regulatory environment is essential, along with sound judgment and recommendation skills.
