Grounds Maintenance Professional

This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As a grounds maintenance professional, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our community.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of outdoor spaces including gardens, pathways, and communal areas.
  • Perform various tasks such as decobwebbing, clearing guttering, down pipes, and bowling green upkeep.
  • Ensure that all communal areas including outdoor patios, verandas, furniture, and barbeques are tidy and well-maintained.
  • Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs or easing locks and windows.
  • Support the village manager with additional duties including taking bins in and out, setting up/packing up for village events, cleaning air conditioning filters, managing garbage bins, and other ad hoc tasks as needed.
Key Requirements:
  • Physical Ability: You are capable of operating garden machinery, working from ladders, and working outside.
  • Initiative and Judgement: You can work independently, exercising discretion and sound judgement in carrying out your duties.
  • Effective Communication: You listen, understand, and adapt your communication style to different audiences, ensuring smooth interactions with residents.
  • Organisation: You excel at prioritising work schedules and managing time efficiently.
