We are looking for a highly skilled Data Integration Engineer to support and improve our reporting pipeline, using Python to integrate data from multiple sources. This role requires independence and the ability to improve long-term stability with minimal ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain the existing Python-based data pipeline, ensuring SLAs are met and issues are quickly resolved.
- Re-write and redesign the current processes to improve stability and minimise direct intervention.
- Work independently and be self-sufficient, as the team lacks the specific skills required for this process.
This is a mid-level position, but the person should be able to work autonomously and drive improvements to existing processes.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a support-focused data role.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools, preferably Control-M.
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and large-scale environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and automation.
