At Experis, we're looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer to help shape and build data infrastructure that powers our analytics and machine learning capabilities. This permanent role comes with a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum.

This opportunity involves working collaboratively in a team of high-performing data experts and other business stakeholders to drive business insights.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining efficient, scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into our data systems
  • Leading the deployment and optimization of cloud-based data infrastructure on platforms like Azure, utilizing big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop
  • Continuously monitoring and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability for large datasets
  • Implementing data quality checks, validation processes, and governance practices to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and building data pipelines, data models, and cloud-based data infrastructure
  • End-to-end Power BI experience
  • A strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and best practices in designing scalable data systems
  • The ability to troubleshoot complex data issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability and reliability of data pipelines
