The Role
  • Promote a positive safety culture through constant visibility onsite and building rapport with all site personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all safety-related activities.
  • Conduct site inductions and ensure the correct permits and cards are provided.
  • Carry out risk identification and assessment, ensuring regulations are met.
  • Coordinate and conduct site safety inspections and audits.
  • Coordinate the incident management process, including immediate post-incident response, ensuring the safety of individuals, and initiating the investigation phase.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Certificate IV in WHS and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a commercial construction contractor.
  • Extensive knowledge of current legislation and risk management processes, in addition to an understanding of quality, health, and safety management systems.
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related qualification Senior First Aid Qualifications
  • Communicate with ease and confidence when liaising with all stakeholders.
  • Natural leadership qualities and subscribe to the value of a "one team approach".
  • Thrive in an autonomous environment, can evolve quickly and committed to meet deadlines.
