About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fixed Income Sales Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Global Markets division, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growing the FIC Corporate Flow Business: Develop and execute strategies to grow the Fixed Income and Currencies corporate flow business with Australian corporates and develop business opportunities.
  • Originating Business Opportunities: Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients, providing advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Strong Pricing and Execution Abilities: Demonstrate strong pricing and execution abilities in FX and Interest Rates derivatives, as well as structured investment solutions.
  • Preparing Marketing Materials: Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials to support sales initiatives.
  • Driving Sales Initiatives: Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchise and collaborate with other salespersons in the region and globally.
  • Market Intelligence and Feedback: Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups, and leverage market intelligence to provide feedback internally to improve capabilities of the platform.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • Experience: At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products, particularly IRS/XCCY/FX/FXO/Structured Investment solutions, for both flow business and private deal executions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships, with demonstrable communication skills, commercial acumen, and persistence in addressing clients' needs.
  • Behavioral Competencies: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, ability to work in a team environment, and proven ability to work in an evolving multicultural environment with people with diverse, international backgrounds.
