Senior Legal Counsel Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to join our organization, bringing expertise in commercial and procurement contracts. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including services, technology, licensing, and distribution arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations such as APRA Prudential Standards and data protection regulations.
  • Provide strategic advice on third-party risk and collaborate in shaping internal procurement policies and tools.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Cyber, Risk, and Finance teams to align initiatives and mitigate risks.
  • Support the development of contract management processes and procurement systems.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial and procurement contracts.
  • Proven expertise gained in-house or in private practice, preferably in financial services, technology, or other regulated sectors.
  • Strong understanding of risk allocation, contract governance, and vendor compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Effective communication skills with a pragmatic and collaborative approach.
