System Support Analyst Job Description

The role of a System Support Analyst is to provide day-to-day support for finance systems. This includes troubleshooting issues, managing system upgrades and implementations, and ensuring the best practice use of finance systems.

This involves acting as first-line support for user queries and technical issues, maintaining system configurations, master data, and centrally managed tables, ensuring data integrity, and monitoring daily system runs, interfaces, and reconciliations.

Another key responsibility is analysing and resolving issues in dealer portals, transit accounts, and legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support for finance systems
  • Act as first-line support for user queries and technical issues
  • Maintain system configurations, master data and centrally managed tables
  • Ensure data integrity and monitor daily system runs, interfaces and reconciliations
  • Analyse and resolve issues in dealer portals, transit accounts and legacy systems
Reporting & Compliance:
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Generate and support financial reports, dashboards and audit data
  • Provide documentation for internal/external audits and ensure SOX compliance
  • Align systems with accounting policies, statutory and regulatory requirements
Projects & Improvements:
  • Identify system gaps and propose enhancements in collaboration with ICT
  • Document and validate business requirements for changes and upgrades
  • Coordinate system testing and share solutions with users post-implementation
  • Participate in finance projects, data migrations and process automation
Collaboration & Training:
  • Work with finance, operations and IT teams to improve productivity and accuracy
  • Maintain user access controls and support segregation of duties reviews
  • Document workflows and create training materials for end-users
  • Deliver awareness sessions and ongoing user support
